[ The Lab ]
Welcome to all doctors, subjects, scientists, and visitors.
Today, I invite you to come view the newest of our experiments. Our test groups just started their newest medications, you see. Our hope is for better results than the last batch. It was, well, contaminated by a bit of a bug that went around. Virus, really. Drove them all mad. Not very good for psychosis research, if I do say so myself.
Ah, but there are a few things we should cover first. Please, wear your safety equipment at all times, and follow the usual rules of conduct. In addition, do try not to rile up our subjects. They do that perfectly well on their own. And don't discuss the experiment itself. All other forms of conversation are permitted, even encouraged — it's good for promoting the growth of dendrites in all of our subjects, you see — but not all those here are aware of what's happening to them. It's an additional stressor that we do not need at this stage.
Oh, and one last thing... -points to a sign on the wall-
Hello there. It's always a pleasure to see those that want to learn more about us, instead of just what we do. As you may have noticed, I'm in charge here. Mostly. Gallagher, if you will. Gal, Gall, Galla, and any other nicknames that you'd like to give me are fine as well. Even Apple.
Besides being the 'face' of this establishment, I'm in charge of all human related works here. As humans have this thing about needing to give consent, I'm afraid that leaves us with a rather small branch, however important it may be. The good news is that for the human patients we do have, the other part of my job is keeping them alive for the next batches of tests!
Hm? Oh- I happen to be fully trained as both a doctor and a scientist. M.D., Ph.D., you see. I've got a bit of a 'thing' for abnormal conditions and diseases.
In any case... I'm not the quickest, you'll find, but I'm more than happy to chat with anyone and everyone that drops by. There's not a lot of things that I really love (though you may find that chatting about OCs would be one of them, along with superpowers, mutations, and zombies), but there is virtually nothing that I hate, either. If you're passionate about something, feel free to talk about it! I might just catch the fever.
For now, though, I think I've said enough. Time to fix more tea!
Nexess
-Pokes and prods test tubes-
Oh! Why Helllllo Thar~
Have you come to volunteer!? No? Oh, well then... Hem. I suppose I should introduce myself yes?
-Extends a hand-
I'm Professor Nexess!
I used to work at a university, but there was a few complications with a couple of my students.... Hem... Yes, anyways.
I'm currently the Head of Animal Genetics and Modification.
I basically cross the genetic make up of one animal into another and BOOM! New animal! Doesn't that sound Wonderful!
Oh? You wanted to more about myself personally?
Well alright...
Hm, right. I'm just you're regular nerd, I like art, I've actually gone to Uni for that and came away with four useless degrees BD Wonderful no?
I also have a sexy minor in Astrophysics! Cause I'm nerdy like that.
I don't dislike alot of things. I also don't like alot of things. I can be confusing as well but I love talking and coming up with zombie invasion plans!
Hem, yes, that's about all really. Anything else please make an appointment with my... Oh right, used her as a test subject... Hmm, just ask the nurse! She'll find me for you!
Toodles!
-Goes back to poking her test tubes-
Asami
*Perky Giggle*
Hii! I'm Asami!
I'll be you're resident Nurse! I'll help you with anything you need!
*Giggles and twirls hair*
I'm very friendly and would love to get to know you while you fill out those Volunteer papers!
I prefer to be a fashionable Nurse! So I've Modified my outfit to be a bit more fancy~
Do you like the slits? They help with movement and show off my legs!
Hmmm? Oh! Of course I'll tell you about myself!
I'm a very cheery person! You have to be when with the volunteers we have here! It helps them feel more comfortable!
I like to think making sure I look great helps them to! It's why I make sure my hair is always flawless! And my make up is glorious!
Now, how about we get you set up in Test room Three hmmm? The Doctor will be right with you! Hopefully, I think she might be a little late, she was having a problem with Subject 296...
Anyways! I have to be off! Lots of work to do you know!
*Flounces away*
Aurelia
A shy, demure girl with shoulder-length black hair and dark brown eyes approaches you.
She cautiously extends her hand out towards you.
"H-Hi, I'm Aure. Well, Aurelia, but everyone calls me Aure."
With a confused look, she points to herself, "You want to know about ME?"
"...Well, alright," she heistates as she looks down, unsure of herself.
"I was told I had a natural talent for science and technology growing up. Whatever that means!" she scoffed, "A-anyway. I don't find it more of a talent than it is a curse.."
She cuts you off before you can react properly, "Please, let me explain! It's a...difficult situation."
Folding her hands together, she quietly explains, "See, I have this...problem. I intend to make something mundane like a table...or a peach cobbler.."
"But I have a habit of tripping or knocking something over due to my clumsy nature, and what comes out isn't exactly what I intended to be in the first place..."
She laughs to hold back her shame, "The funny thing is, I end up getting praised for my mistakes and a few are resounded as genius thorought the scientific community!"
"I came to the lab looking for a cure for my condition, but I ended up having to work here to pay off my student loans instead."
She sighs, "So, here I am...doing the work I dread being able to do every day. But I believe in Doctor Galla and Doctor Nexess' dreams. Doctor Galla says he is trying to help humanity benefit from his experiments and creations and I believe him."
She pauses as she thinks about her mentor, "Doctor Nexess I haven't quite figured out yet, but I respect her dedication."
Ducky
A little yellow duck peeks out of the drawer of Nexess' desk. He flaps his wings frantically when he sees you. "Quack. Quack! Quaaaack!"
Nexess looks up from her work. "He actually said quite alot there, but he's a Duck you see...."
Renata
A man in an odd outfit and covered in weapons is seen pushing a broom. He looks up from his sweeping.
"Why welcome there I'm the Janitor her in the lab I also happen to be the immortal pet around here.I also tend to some of the security around here.Make sure to stay in line and be good For the doctor and Nexy otherwise I may be forced to use my broom sword."
The man goes back to sweeping some of the failed experiments and ashes.

DarkForbidden-Love
*Looks up from Lab Book*
Hello, I'm DarkForbidden-Love, Head Bio Engineer here at "The Lab." I have been working on improving the average creature to perform far beyound its normal capabilities. I can most likely be found reading, writing, or watching Star Trek: The Original Series.
I am a rather introvertive person but if you start a convesation I will converse with you. I am knowledgable in a broad spectem of things but if I do not know to what you refer I will use Google. I'm an open minded person too, so no need to 'hold your toungues' around me.
If I ever mention an Ambrosia there is no need to worry. I am merely refering to my pet skeleton rat whom I befriended early in becomeing part of the staff here at the lab.
*Returns to writing stuff in her lab book*

[Nexy's Office Harem]
While touring through our lovely Lab,
you may have noticed a few scantily dress woman and men hanging around my office.
These lovely darlings would be my own little office harem~
Yes, I do agree! They are quite lovely aren't they <3
Oh?! You say you'd like to join my little harem? Well by all means please come to my office and we shall chat~
It was done with the best of intentions. Subject 64 was made to be the perfect person. We didn't expect it to end up like this...
"Doctor!"
That's what the first thing I remember, her screams awoke the whole lab. Then the smell came, the horrible reek of blood and punctured organs. It had torn her apart, piece by piece, holding no mercy for it's victims. Subject 64, who was made to be the perfect person in every way. Perfectly constructed DNA, to make the perfect physical form for it. Then years of carefully maintained care, education, and diet.
Who would have thought that in reality the perfect person was also the perfect killer...
It escaped. After cutting a bloody path through the lab It simply laughed at our terrified faces and left. Leaving us, the few survivors of It's rampage, to clean up and cover up our terrible mistake. The Doctor was in a terrible rage. She knew she had locked the doors, It shouldn't have been able to get out, It should have been completely trapped within It's room. She didn't help us clean up the bodies. She locked herself away in the main lab, looking over the data and security feeds. Trying to figure out where we went wrong.
It was later discovered that a young intern had opened the door to It's dwelling, surely thinking that it would be grateful to be freed, It was and showed it's appreciation by removing the young man's head and using it as a door stop for it's room.
Disgusting yes, but I can't help but think it was deserved. Yes of course, you think I'm a terrible person now don't you? Well, that young man was directly responsible for the deaths of 92 other people. If It hadn't don't it I'm sure one of us would have...
It wasn't until years later that I learned what had happened to Subject 64. Turns out it wasn't as crazy as we all had thought. Subject 64, now known as Delik Le'Delro, had made quite the name for himself in the business sector. Having used all the things we had gave him to the fullest, he now manufactures synthetic human organs and body parts. He's one of the richest men in the world now.
And us? We're still in the lab, creating, experimenting, hoping to create something better than Subject 64. So that when he least expects it, we will have our revenge...
First Meetings
Today was the first day Gallagher was introduced to the lab.
We've been told not to mention anything about his past, as it could prove to have disastrous. From what I've been told Gallagher is a blend of three different people, all of whom were victims of Subject 64.
Gallagher is probably one of the more interesting experiments that we've done here. Combining the DNA and physical forms of three people, all of different races and faiths, was and is one of our biggest success'. With a mix of ginger and blond hair, pink and blue eyes, and the odd patch work of skin colours and textures, Gallagher is indeed one unique looking creature. His brain power and reasoning is amazing. Combining the knowledge of a Doctor, scientist, and an orderly has made him not only smart but able to think so far out of the box that it has helped our research immensely.
Though I admit he does have some rather strange phobias....
I'm not sure which of the three had the fear of zombies but it's only been magnified since the blending. But really, it could be worse! he could be afraid of spiders. I mean there are so many in the lab since that nurse knocked over that container...
Ah! I get distracted so easily now a days! As I was saying, Gallagher has been a great help with our research. Not only is he willing to do anything to get a result, he actually has reasonably sound ideas on how to get the results we want.
Hopefully he'll be mentally stable long enough for us to finish our work. With his help we may be able to get ahead of schedule and finally take down Subject 64.
Human Duck
Ducky. It's what the nurses are calling this new experiment. Intelligence of a human and the body of a duck. It was completely by accident that he was created, a highly amusing accident though.
We had been experimenting with lightning and it's effects on the brain of an already passed subject. We had strapped the subjects body to the lightning table and place it near the pond, a place we hoped would attracted lightning. Who would have thought a duck would find this the perfect perch to take a nap on, but as it were this little duck did.
When the first strike happened we had thought for sure the little guy had fried, I mean if a human couldn't survive a lightning strike how could a duck! We were proven wrong when the little guy suddenly popped, shook himself off and flew right over us. More surprising was the random profanity coming out of the creatures bill!
A talking duck! Who would have thought a lightning strike could transfer the information from one brain to another. It was a break through! All we had to do was make it happen again...
Impossible. Completely impossible. We couldn't do it. We couldn't make the transfer happen again. The duck was a fluke, a complete and utter fluke. No matter how many times we tried it never worked. It was a disappointment. But at least the lab has a new pet! The Doctor has decided that Ducky was to stay here, with us, so that no one would find out about him. After all, what would someone do if they met a talking duck?
The New Doctor
We knew the time would come when we need someone new, we just never expected it to be so soon...
It was well into fall but before the first snow when it happened. And experiment broke free. There was nothing we could do for the Doctor. Subject 76 had made sure there was no way for us to bring him back, after all, without a head what could we do?
We'd been told who to call, how to make arrangements, where to hide next.
We destroyed anything we couldn't take with us, we burned the lab, our home for so many years. It was just ashes and dust now, there was nothing to find there, it was safer that way.
I have a feeling this was the work of Subject 64. There was no way 76 could have broken free without help, her tank had been on lock down for years, with reason...
We'd finally finished moving into the lab. It was underground this time, with an artificial forest growing overhead. This time we'd be getting a Scientist. The Doctor left all her research and people to a Scientist. None of us were sure what to feel, we didn't know this person. She wasn't the woman we'd all been working with for so long....
Nexess Pintaca
We weren't sure what to think at first. I mean, she is, or used to be, a subject. We basically made this person and now she was going to be heading our research...
Subject 36 was what we used to refer to her as. Her name now was Nexess Pintaca.
I remember her clearly, she was our first human subject, she'd been given to us by a friend of the Doctor's. When she'd first arrived her mental functions had been completely blank, there was no brain activity, nothing, she was a blank slate we could work with.
At the time we had been trying to devise a way to program the human brain. To be able to, in laments terms, download information and upload information to and from the brain.
The downloading was easy, we'd done that rather easily. Unfortunately when it came to uploading the information from the subject we'd hit a snag. You see, if the subject was unwilling to give up the information we simply could not upload it.
The Doctor had worked for weeks to try and fix the problem, but in the end it was something we could not fix. For even when we downloaded a command into the subjects brain, telling it to let us have the information, it would be rejected and ignored.
Subject 36 was a true genius though. Because after just a few short weeks she had convinced a nurse to release her from her rooms. Unlike Subject 64 though, 36 took her freedom quickly and quietly. By the time anyone had noticed she was gone it was already to later for us to catch her.
And now here she was. Messy purple hair, bloody red eyes, and perfectly pale skin. She was and is the only experiment with the ability to change her appearance at will. Being able to shift the bones in her face, change the colour of her skin, eyes, and hair. I'm now standing here, staring at her, wondering why she didn't hide from us. She could have walked in looking like anything, and yet she appears just as we last saw her. Expect for this time her eyes are smiling, laughing even, at us. Like a predator who's finally catch it's prey...
Aurelia
Aurelia. She's new. Everything she touches either has to explode or turn into something amazingly scientific. But she didn't mean to do either....
My first thought was that she was cute. She'd been a student at the university where Nexess had been teaching. When Nexess had first introduced her to us, I had thought she was joking. This young girl being able to help us with anything?!? Completely ridiculous. And then we saw her work.
From what I had been told she had meant to make a simple printer. That is not how it turned out.
What she had ended up making was a rather vulgar robot, who did nothing but curse and make smart remarks. Doctor Nexess loved it.
This is when we found out about her particular illness, or curse, depends who you ask. What generally happens when Aurelia tries to make something is very strange. She either trips, drops, or mucks up somehow. Ending up making something completely different from what she was going for.
Although this does prove for some entertainment, in what is normally a very bland place, it does not truly help our research. But Doctor Gallagher and Nexess have said she's staying. I'm uncertainly if it's for entertainment value or plane kindness to the girl...
Employee of the Month
Gallagher is no longer allowed to hire staff...
Doctor Nexess gives everyone three days off and we come back to a janitor who has more weapons than a small army. This lab is turning into a freak show! What are we even doing anymore? What about the research! What about our revenge against Subject 64! If this goes on any longer I'll go insane. we have to get working, we have to make more progress!
If the Doctor was here we'd be so much farther, she wouldn't have stood for this. All we do now a days is split and blend DNA for Doctor Gallagher, never knowing why, never being told if it's for the research or for his own amusement.
Doctor Nexess is no better. Her research is all about animals. We are trying to create a perfect person, unlike Subject 64, who was a failure on all accounts.
I just want to feel like we're doing something, anything! All of our plans are falling to pieces. Soon enough Subject 64 will find us and it'll all be in vain...
