I am after all still a gentleman." he then stood and went back into the kitchen presumably to clean up what he did there moments before.

When he popped back out and saw that she was finished with her dishes, he took them and disappeared again. When he finally emerged after a short while he approached the bed. "I have some books here if you need something to pass the days away. Though currently, I think you should get some rest. Dusk approaches and will be night soon.
