Bald and loving it!
The moon light danced between the trees allowing just enough light for, the young beast keen eyes to see any shape that lay hidden from him. As quietly as a mouse he stalked, it while it unsuspectingly rested on its long flight from the east. Quickly, he pounced on the bird trapping it with in his powerful jaws before he felt its life drain completely from its wiggling limbs. Years ago Sebastian would have been disgusted by this act of barbarism, but now it was only known as dinner.

Once he finished devouring the warm flesh, the beast wandered through out the night pausing a river to bath himself. The river reflected in the moon light what had become of him and his people. Behind him he could see nothing but vast over grown weeds entangled with trees. Somewhere scattered among the forest floor was his people. He sat in the river letting the water was over him. Sebastian felt a little hopeless about his current situation. During the day he felt almost too weak to travel, and at night he knew he was merely traveling in circles. Even equipped with the senses of the king of the jungle was not enough to help him find his way out of the forest. It felt good to be wallowing in self pity; it was one of the few last vestiges of selfishness that the prince felt he could afford as a luxury.

While doing so, Sebastian used his claws to untangle a lot of his matted fur. Some small part of him joked about his future 'love' being displeased with a beast that was unkempt. Once his reflection mirrored satisfaction the prince found himself curiously following the river downstream, towards the base of a mountain range. His paws drifted onwards without instruction from his brain. Eventually his young bones throbbed with a particular ache as sun awoke over the horizon. Sebastian soon found himself drifting beside the river bank in his bipedal form. He slumped against a tree his body refusing what it had not digested from his adventure during the night. He felt himself falling against the bark into a tired sleep.
