Connor sat there contemplating his next move. He could call her, talk to her. Make sure that things were okay. But then he thought rationally, he found out online and not from her directly so it might be a little too weird.

Sighing heavily, he pushed away from his desk. A little too hard, he ending up flipping his chair over. Muttering he brushed himself off while pushing the chair away.

Instead of trying to stand back up Connor laid down and looked up at his ceiling. Staring back at all him were the glow and dark stars that he placed up there as a kid. Most of the cool planet shaped ones broke over the years, so, it was just a mass of stars.

He remembered the first time she had seen the stars. Her face came alive with amusement, not at all, but that, she had always wanted to do that. Before he knew it she was on the floor, with the blinds closed and any light source extinguished. The wonder and happiness swirled around him, bathing him in the warmest feelings he had ever felt.

Now, Connor laid on the floor years after they had met and dated; with that memory floating in his head. With a slight smile he drifted off to sleep, hoping that she was alright.

'Tis a short little thing. The fragmented style is somewhat fitting but it could be sharper in my opinion, though not entirely sure how it might be adressed. Perhaps use it less or add some different punctuation?

I like the image of the couple and the stars, and the significance of the stars to Connor but the second to last paragraph is a little hard to follow in the beginning.

Are there companion pieces to this or is it a stand alone work?

It's a stand alone piece. I wrote it rather quickly and haven't really gone back to fix anything or add more to it. It was a way to get something out of my head that I wanted to write about. ^^

I see. It could use some fleshing out, that's for sure, though it is cute.

The end is very well written and I can picture it very well. But the beginning needs a little more description of what he looks like or who he is.

I wasn't giving that much thought to what he looked like when I started writing it. By the time that I figured it out I couldn't figure out a way to work it in without expanding it after what I thought was the end. ^^;;

Personally I don't really think character appearances and the like are needed unless it's pertinent to the story, or the character is around for a long period of time, unless you happen to have a specific image in your head about how a character should look and want other people to see that too.

Just my two cents on that. :)
