okay new word for you to learn for today:

Seishin it means spirit
pronounced s-eh-shin

Sentance from fen:

Ōku no shinjitsu ga aru seishindesu

pronounced:

O-ku no shin-gee-su ga ah-ru s-eh-shin deh-su

Means:

has many truth in spirit

here's a little tip:

Japanese this and that are not used in the same way as english this and that. In english, we can say "this person" or "that person" or "this book" and it's the same all over. But in japanese kore (this), sore (that - close to the opposite speaker), and are (that [over there]) cannot be used for a person. to say "this person" one would say "kono hito" (hito=person) or "sono hito" or "ano hito". For a place you use koko, soko, asoko (here, there - again close to other person, over there)

true xD
idk i've been studying too long.
well i dont think this counts as a tip but it's a fun fact: (not for beginners because beginners should learn formal first since you can conjugate much easier from that)

when speaking - for females - and using informal such as "nani shitai ka?" most girls will not say the "ka" part because it sounds more masculine. Instead they will omit it or say "nani shitai no?" Of course cute intonation helps as well if you don't use no. The emphasis would go on the "i" part of the "shitai"

I would like someone with access to homework sheets and work books to help the learners.. I want to see if I can learn better this way =w=,

Right now I've been concentrating on the sound/syllable things...

let me see if i can find some. if i can't i will do my best to create one ^^
and some people find it easier to see it, some find it easier with games. i would recommend smart.fm but it is closing at the end of this month and becoming a pay site. you coul also use anki for flashcards. mmm... there is also japanese word of the day and also you could use the JLPT website (just google it cause i forgot it ^^; ) which is the japanese language proficiency test. it's an extremely difficult test but they put out lessons i believe on japanese words and conjugation

oh and one thing i wanted to say is ganbatte is as you say but if you say "ganbatte kudasai" it can be used in virtually any situation (when you're saying it to them) and can mean do your best - i.e. someone is in the hospital, cheering for a team, etc etc.
also shikari shite is also a way of saying hang in there but i havent asked what the real meaning is, i just know when you use it.

and one mistake- it should be "kochira wa". Kochira is also a very formal way of saying this. Not that that is bad. It's actually quite good to learn formal.
