I never paid attention to awareness ribbons before.
I know there are some out there but I have no idea

Oh, the Rave. I should have known because it looks like pony falls *nod* I actually pony falls in that exact color scheme- but I've never had the opportunity to wear them. Don't think I will IRL now (I'm not usually one to stick with traditional "age appropriate" crappola, but I think I'm past the stage in life where I would even have some reason to wear them. Plus, their really heavy, and if I can't bear my own hair touching my skin, I don't think adding falls would be a good idea. *shrug* they're really cute hanging on my wire kitty shaped basket ^_~ ).

Hopefully that link will work. If it doesn't, you can always Google "Awareness Ribbon Colors". In fact, I encourage people to look at the different sites that show what the colors are supposed to represent. There are variances from site to site.
That just makes me more... not quite angry... more like disappointment, I suppose.

I just don't think Awareness Ribbons can raise awareness for ANYTHING if one color is assigned to MANY THINGS. Ya know?

her hair a funky color* But I don't think I could
pull that off. Because my hubby might freak. Idiot
didn't like the idea of me dying my hair blue a
few years ago when I wanted to. So I can only dye
it red and black. I rather like both colors though.

Wow there are tons of ribbons. I found a few that
are perfect for me already. Sad though. Wished
there were none for me. I'll have to read more
of it tomorrow.

I just said screw it and bought a bleaching kit
and blue hair dye... I am sooo a naughty girl.
I can't wait to dye and bleach my hair. So gonna
piss off my husband. Oh well. :D

Ah, you just gave me one more reason to love you ^_^ *HUGS*

I used to dye my hair every 6 weeks (if I could afford it)... but I only stuck with reds. When I got into the "alternative" subculture in the 80's that is now labeled "goth", I REFUSED to ever dye my hair black. I was the "individualist" amongst the rest of the so-called individualists who all wore the same band t-shirts and EVERYONE dyed their hair black. So, I vowed that I never would, and 26 years later, I never have.

I did do just about every shade of red from Topaz (extremely light reddish/strawberry blonde) to Orchid (dark purple... but still counts because purple is red & blue mixed ^_~ ).

My fave hair color didn't have any special name, so I called it Barbieque Potato chip Orange or Nuclear Orange. I loved that color and was so sad to see it disappear from market shelves D:
When I finally found Maniac Panic, I fell in love with Fire Engine Red *WooHoo!*

I would of loved to dye my hair when I was
younger, like the bright colors. Especially pink.
But if I did that. My mom would of killed me. And
then I became a mom at 16... (not a smart thing to
do) so I never had the time to rebel. So now I'm
getting it out of my system at my age lol. But oh
well. One of my fave guitarists dyed his hair pink.
And my god is he sexy with it. ^^

I don't know about them being usless - I wear a lupus awareness bracelet and a Japanese one. I've had people ask about them so I could teach them what they meant, plus the money used to purchase them went to a good cause.
