Aw, well that guy made Breathe for his lover that died during the AIDS crisis. If you watch the Always video you can see a memorial for him in the last minutes.

littl3chocobo 05-23-2012 01:22 PM

that is cool to know dude

Poggio 05-23-2012 01:24 PM

XD It is almost as cool as the fun fact that I know about Beauty and the beast. That one though makes me tear up each time I remember it. And that is possibly why breath is my favorite of theirs.

littl3chocobo 05-23-2012 01:26 PM

ooh~ tell me~

Arikana 05-23-2012 01:28 PM

Hi Choco! :] How are you doing today?

@Poggio: Sounds awesome, what songs are you listening to that are bringing back childhood memories?

Poggio 05-23-2012 01:30 PM

So we were watching the documentary Waking sleeping beauty. It was about Disney from 1984-1994. So the guy that made all of the wonderful songs for Disney, in all of the movies we grew up with. The last movie he worked on was Beauty and the beast. After the reviews were in an on the night it won a gold globe for best animated movie, the team rushed to the hospital to see him and tell him about how it was. He was wearing a beauty and the beast t-shirt and they told him. It was his last night alive. He also died of AIDS, and it is why Disney has not had such great music since.

littl3chocobo 05-23-2012 01:35 PM

ok /that/ one depressed me a bit, it also makes me wonder which of their movies were pre and post that time so i know if that is part of my early falling out with disney

Poggio 05-23-2012 01:36 PM

Well he had done some of the score for the lion king since it was in production but pushed back for another movie. So anything after that. And his first major production was the little mermaid. I am not sure if he worked on Oliver and Company, the rescuers or the Aristocats.

Lauv Keiko 05-23-2012 01:37 PM

Echo-chan713 05-23-2012 01:38 PM

Well the rescueres didn't have any songs as far as I know, as well as Oliver and company and the aristocats didn't have really much memorable songs

littl3chocobo 05-23-2012 01:39 PM

Echo-chan713 05-23-2012 01:41 PM

Poggio 05-23-2012 01:42 PM

I haven't seen it. And I like the opening song for Oliver and company. The one that goes, why should I worry, why should I care. I may not have a dime, but I have street Saviorefaire.
