Fun suggestion: watch any Run For The Cube video with auto-generated captions.
let me guess, it's either a horrifying mish-mash of words or outright not the proper words at all
come, i can't die.
well, that sounds mildly horrifying. i might as well get back to writing. |
That's almost as bad as closed captioning on TV for Vampirina
That one has pure gibberish "Hekv, igr xi,,?!" has happened before, among other weirdness |
oh jesus christ, that's even worse than my usual auditory processing.
Yeah that's not one you want a hard of hearing or deaf kid to watch, solely because they aren't going to have a clue as to what's going on at all
D: things for TV should be better!! Gotta be accessible
I've seen a lot of that closed captioning that's absolute gibberish like the Vampirina one. They're probably just trying to input the captions with the faces.
god, yeah, things could be a lot more accessible.
Our satellite is through DirecTV, and they have both closed captioning and their version and their version doesn't even try with Vampirina. No subtitles at all
Accessibility is too often an afterthought
honestly, yeah.
