:+.Moon Garden Party
Good evening one and all. I am Mr. Crescent, resident of the moon. It has come to my attention that there appears to be some sort of crystallization happening about, and it has peaked my interest. I do admire objects that shine, such as these tea lights.
I think I shall host a small garden party right here, with tea and moon cakes of course. There is plenty to go around. |
Oh, that seems like an excellent plan. What possibly could go wrong during a sophisticated garden party? I love this place already.
....what kind of tea though?
Herbal, I think.
i am a feral scientist and i just like shiny things. unfortunately these are not edible.
Actually the tea lights might be edible when not on fire. But I suspect the mooncakes taste better.
mooon man
mooncakes can be shiny, i think we found a solution!
:] I like tea!
But are there any shrimp? :/ |
Ah a nice cup of tea and mooncakes. Just what I need to get me through the day. Although shrimp sounds really good right now lol |
i'm just a little creacher
thatse it i cannot change thise |
Not into a shrimp mood right now, but fried squid rings would be cool.
onion rings, tho.
Oh yes Squid sounds delicious! |
fish and cheese doesn't always go together well.
could you imagine cheesy chicken nuggets |
Your not wrong Void...sounds to me like a match made in heaven Dear lord I'm hungry lol |
god. i wish for cheesy chicken nuggets.
what are we eating here?
currently wondering if there's gonna be more sets of items tbh.
o.o I actually wonder how moon cake actually tastes as I've never had it I think. :D It's a lunar festival treat, unless I'm wrong. :c Not Asian tho, so, I can't really confirm celebrating the lunar new year.
I wonder how similar it is to the moon pies I see selling in stores
i vaguely want a moon pie.
:] I like Pumpkin Pie. <3 Pumpkin Pie is nice.
are the moon pies tastey
Oh goodness me, there are still Moon Pies in existence? Hasn't Hostess become somewhat of a larger name in marketing their sugary goods by now?
I went looking for moon shrimp, apparentlythey're meant to be biolumiescent, so they'd fill a number of roles at this tea party, particularly as moonshrimp cakes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_shrimp_cake
where's espy to ask about mooncakes
I didn't get a chance to look for mooncakes in time to try, I wonder if there's still a chance to find some after the festival?

http://www.ricenflour.com/wp-content...er-770x440.jpg Okay moon pies and moon cakes are different |
I've had a small moon cake once in an asian food store. Filled with bean paste and some type of seeds or crushed nuts. It was sweet and slightly salty at the same time.

they both look delicious.
Oh yeah Moon Cakes are magical. Soft texture in the middle but not nearly as sweet as moon pies lmao I think it's made with bean paste and other things to make it sweet and flavorful. I didn't think bean paste would taste so good. I was happily wrong. |
I know I've had some things made with bean paste and I've liked it, but not really sure what it was. It was a more of a doughy roll filled with it.
omg was it....what's that called...Daifuku?? I think....The dough was mochi? I've always wanted to try it! |
It was a wheat based dough. Actually, I might have tried both. But there definitely was also a wheat one.
unpopular opinion; not really into mooncakes. they are not a flavor i am into i just find them pretty
They are rather intricate, and pretty. :] Maybe I'll try one once they come back into the holiday season. ^-^ I have a couple Asian bakeries around where I live. Ah, has anyone heard of 85°?? :D
sorry, no. is it a local bakery?
:/ Mmm, lemme check...
looks like there are only locations in California, Texas and Washington State. :d |
