Hello everyone! >.<

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:13 PM

Any one ever read the "Cat Who" series? :3

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:13 PM

Hey Kira :) Thanks! I hope it will be a nice hangout. :) I really like your avi! That hair color looks so pretty with that skin tone.

Can't say that I have, DK. What's it about?

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:16 PM

Quote:

"Cat Who..." books feature a reporter named James Qwilleran and his Siamese cats Kao K'o-Kung, Koko for short, and Yum-Yum. The first book in the series was written in 1966, with two more following in 1967 and 1968. Eighteen years passed until Jackson Braun published the next book in the series, and through 2007 a new "Cat Who..." title was published with some regularity. Lawrence Block once wrote in one of his Burglar books the rather facetious comment that the next book in the series ought to be entitled 'The Cat Who Lived Forever'.
KOKO AND YUMYUM! 8D and their human SLAVE Qwill xD

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:22 PM

Oh! It's like a novel? Human slave, lol..aren't we all our animals slaves? :P

Pisces 03-05-2011 10:22 PM

Yay! Booknerds! <33 I think this will be a pleasant little hangout, most definitely!

I shall be back forthwith! Dinner calls.

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:24 PM

So far there are like 34 books in all (35 if you count the one that hasn't been published yet..) but the story line.. there are 29 I think.. then the other 5 are like side stories and things

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_Who_series

I have one of the novels.. then the audio books on my computer in my bed room <3

Madam Kira 03-05-2011 10:30 PM

.rousium - Thank you very much, though I think of this as more of my starter avi. >.< Your avatar though is lovely. ;D

That sounds like an interesting series, I will definitely have to put it on my reading list. ^^

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:34 PM

I'm very picky when it comes to books.. ^^,

The Cat Who is one of my Favorites x3

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:37 PM

Thank you! :) You just look sunkissed!

DK, the books are probably something I would enjoy. I'll have to check out one of them once I have some time to read other then for class. :)

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:39 PM

I think the first one was the cat who could read backwards :3

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:42 PM

Pisces just gave me a good idea! Once I have the front set up, i'll put a form for people to make suggestions and then put them on the front so if you can't decide what to read you can look there.

Pisces 03-05-2011 10:43 PM

So the author is Jackson Braun? I'll look and see if my library has the series. I think I could like them too. And they'll be nice to read while I wait for my Temperance Brennan novels to come over from the Rawlings library.

Angel Spirit Girl 03-05-2011 10:46 PM

The Cat Who is a pretty good series of mystery books. ^.^

I like reading fantasy novels.

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:47 PM

I want to try the Temperance Brennen books D: but the library is too far to walk..

I need to make a friend in this place D<

Madam Kira 03-05-2011 10:49 PM

I've read few mystery novels.
I'm more into books fantasy books like the James Patterson Maximum Ride series. >.<

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:50 PM

Hey Angel! :)

Yeah, my library isn't in walking distance for me either. I love going there though. Haha, I always take reusable bags with me and am thankful that I have a big strong man with me to carry them to the car. :P

Oh! I read that graphic novel, Kira. Do you like Kira or Madam?

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:50 PM

I like some fantasy..
Murder Mystery
Vampire >:3

anyone ever read the book (ment for age group 13+) The Grand Escape? :3

.rousium 03-05-2011 10:53 PM

No, DK likes mystery tho!

I read all sorts of books but I would have to say that my favorite types are old gothic novels, classic sci-fy, and I do like books about the supernatural although I didn't care for Twilight. I much prefer my vamps to be of the Carmilla/Dracula/Lestat sort.

Pisces 03-05-2011 10:53 PM

I've been soo out of it with books lately, so I've probably no idea of most of these books. I had the unfortunate experience with a super strict AP Lit teacher who made me sick of reading for a while. X__X I can't believe she did that, too. I adore reading.

Demonskid 03-05-2011 10:54 PM

LESTAT!

He was the reason I NEVER read or watched Twilight..

*huggles Vampire Chronicles* I REALLY wanna start collecting that series.. I read most of them thanks to the library <3
