So, who all got the game so far and has played it? I'm still on the first mission (maybe 20 mins in), but I'm enjoying it so far. Dynamics of combat are better than previous in my opinion (at least for the campaign). The "extra animated" melee kills - while cool - are a tad annoying since you are getting shot at and losing shields all the while when a simpler melee kill leaves you still able to move and fight.

My friend has probably been playing it obsessively. I, and a few others, have been giving her a bunch of mountain dew caps on top of the ones she had already gathering.

I've been taking my time with it....mostly due to playing Assassin's Creed 3 though. Just beat that about two nights ago, so Halo 4 will have my attention. Interesting so far as I have gotten.

A friend of mine has the game and well I actually don't like it. The whole realism thing throws it off for me and my husband =/ I mean its fun and all but there are plenty of other games I'd rather play over it. So odds are we're not going to renew the gold membership on xbox love for our accounts just to play online x'D let alone buy the game hehe

Just beat it today......disappointed a bit with the ending. Excited though because it sets up well for future games.

Also, Spartan Ops is interesting for sure. Different from previous incarnations of extras.

Cortana wraps the bridge around him creating a barrier between him and the falling debris, etc, to protect him.

I don't believe that she died. You don't see her die, she simply disappears and she just can't go with John this time.
I think that she will reappear, there are rumors that she will return as a human. Due to the fact that she is technically a clone of Dr. Halsey. Apparently they will find Forerunner technology that can bring her back as such.

At this point it's all speculation though. Could be she dispersed herself into the Forerunner data network though. Big thing is that she was near full blown rampancy, so even if she survived, how "intact" is she really? Granted, Forerunner AIs (ancillas) were able to resist rampancy for great (thousands of years) time spans. So could she find the secret to stabilizing herself? How much of a role will the Chief play now that Spartans are more widespread?

Who knows? Either way I highly doubt that Cortana would simply be killed off like that.
