Depends on the spider. It could have been saying, "Ack! Humans!"

Spiders are creepy. I don't mind them when they're outside, WHERE THEY FLIPPING BELONG. But if they come into the house, and are within striking range, they forfeit their lives. usually via kleenex, and on occasion via shoe.
I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns.

XD this just makes me think of all the spiders around my house. There was a large yellow and black one outside and my roommate said she found a Black Widow behind the washer machine. I am okay with moths. They don't do much harm. My coworkers and I have a theory that each time we find glitter around the store where I work, its just the moths paying rent.

I see this thread has been living without me xD
Once I had moved out of my childhood home and off to college, my neighbors found a nest of black widows in the alcove I used to take a nap in. That was fun.

Lol They were keeping your spot warm for you.
My beef isn't with spiders so much as it is other pest that live in houses. Waterbugs and the like. Especially Ants.

Neat thing about this is that it's rather accurate. We're gigantic, make strange noises and highly capable of causing immediate destruction.
Additionally, I've learned that many spiders taste things with their feet, and find us to taste absolutely awful. For keeping spiders away, however, I will recommend an alcohol suspension of peppermint, clove, cedar wood and cinnamon, sprayed (like from a spritz bottle) into any places you don't want them. On the same note, for the person who hates ants, I can suggest putting fresh, ground cinnamon at typical insect entry-points for your home.

It was more then horrific. And they can fly. And their wings are in the shape of a human ear, but that isn't where their name is derived from either. The modern word “earwig” comes from an Old English term, earwicga, a compound of words for ear and an insect of some sort. An etymology note in The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (5th ed.) says wicga, the second part of the Old English word, is a member of the same family of words that has given us “wiggle” and “wag.” I know they don't crawl in ears (at least not anymore then other bugs like beetles, roaches, and spiders) but it is the kind of thing that I see one and instantly scream and run away or out the house until someone else deals with it. {MyAnimeList}{My MAL Graph!}{Read manga? I am not sure that works for carnivorous ants. We grow plants like cinnamon, and it works on local ants. Argentinian ants seem to just follow peanut butter, meat, water pipes, and electric burns. _-_
