It's that time of year again, when writers around the world set to the most insane writing exercise in existence: (at least) 50,000 words in 30 days (or less!)!!!

I am so terrible I'm only at 300 words right now because of how much I've worked this week D:

I need to double down and write so I can get back on par for the day... Yesterday was a bust between shopping with mom, a chiropractor visit, and sheer exhaustion.

And something about this sentence is throwing me off. Anyone have ideas?

I've not written anything. Oops. Too much school stuff. Right now trying to keep myself awake for an all-nighter.

Because of school I can't devote to anything new so I'm using the challenge to finish editing my first project and get it printable. The plan is to get it to 30 chapters (originally, one for each day in November). Not sure how many I'm at but holding to my one-chapter-edit-per-day schedule.

I had to stop writing because the puppy had liquid diarrhea and was vomiting so I had to stay up all night and watch her T.T

I'm not sure about the "countered" part either and trees don't really have shoulders. I would almost use the metaphor for his chest or body instead, though that can run into pun territory as another name for torso is "trunk."

You could always go with something like "broad as the trees behind him" for example. It doesn't have to sound complicated.

past few days have been bad for me for writing... for various reasons, so hopefully, next week, I'll be able to get back on track. This usually happens though, where I'll miss up to a week and still catch up and win, so I'm not too worried.

This year just didn't happen the way I'd hoped... I'll not be winning this year, but I will still work on the story. I like it, and I want to finish it, but real life stuff kinda got in the way.

That seems to be pretty common this time of the month, it would seem. I've had to focus on school so writing is to the side and I've done little but transfer the rest of my project to the new document. I'm hoping to hit 30k, total. With the new words I've added (at 4000 now) I'm up to 27k.

Late to the party here. I'm sitting at about 24k in mine. I've had a terrible month. Sitting with a stomach bug right now even.
