Her father whose extremely high up on the ladder due to his willingness to be paid off for just about anything. Leona herself plays the perfect daughter during the day, pretending to care about her family's endeavors, being a polite and well mannered girl who graduated with amazing grades, a master violinist and world setting athletic times. She'd be the perfect girl to marry off, but during the night hours Leona participates in illegal bot fighting. She's a mastermind when it comes to robotics and plans on over taking the underworld on bot at time to get back her greedy father.

Occupation: An Eliot politician and an 'underground business man'. A charity sponsor and home maker.
Background: Gideon was born into a family of extreme wealth and power.
He's own father understood how to play the system and not only have his strings attached to the big wigs of the government, but also the low lives who secretly ran things from behind the curtains. Gideon easily took his father's place when he passed, taking along his rather medieval view of how a family should be upheld, though he never beat his wives like his father did. Instead he tossed them out when they couldn't birth him a child after paying the parents of the beautiful woman he chose vast amounts of money for their daughter. It wasn't until his fourth wife that his first and only child was born. Unfortunately she was a she making her a poor business man,
but Gideon let her see the comings and goings of his life so when she married she could allow her husband to be a great and powerful man too.

Marry was born into a decently wealth family that ran many charities for the ill and misfortune youth. They were at first a humble company, but the money from helping with shadier tasks was too good to pass up which is how she got her current husband's attention. She became a mother and a house wife who had to strive for perfection to keep her husband's affections knowing how his past marriages went. She isn't a stupid woman and enjoys the lavish life she currently lives.

Liam slipped up. It wasn't like he meant to kill her or anything. He was just so hungry, burning all his energy having to run from the rats of the godsdamned church. Just taking what was necessary to live, that's how he'd done it – up until then, anyway. Had they not been chasing him, he wouldn't have gotten too greedy; that woman could have still been alive. But the thirst was enough to drive one mad, and for a moment all he could see was red. When it was over, he held a corpse in his arms and his eyes came in to focus on a Hellsing, clergy of the Church destined to kill vampires like him.
If they weren't actively hunting him before, they certainly were now. He needed a way out, maybe make an alliance with a human. He'd get his feeding done...but he needed an incentive for the human to willingly give him blood. A two-sided truce would be necessary if he were to blend completely in, only one person should be trusted with his secret, but again the damned incentive was necessary. There was no money to pay them with. His services? What could Liam Farrier do that would merit someone giving him their life-blood? He could be a butler. After all, he'd been on the receiving end of one back when he was still a human. That was it. He'd apply to be a butler at the first place he could find without being seen.

“F-father?” a ten year old Mordecai asked the empty sanctuary, “Where are you? I thought I heard...” his voice trailed off as he listened to the howling of the wind outside. It was a cloudless night, and moonlight streamed in through the stained glass windows, painting the pews with reds and blues, yellows, greens, and purples. The familiarity of the sanctuary wrapped around him in a blanket of chills; something wasn't right.

He turned to the glass over the main entrance. Jesus Christ, Lamb of God stood there to look over the backs of the congregation, clothed in white robes, a red sash draped over one shoulder. His face was kind, comforting – protecting – despite the blood dripping from the open wounds in His hands, or perhaps because of it. The rays of sunlight were now, ironically when looking back, lit by those of the moon. Mordecai's young hand reached up, clutching the cross that hung around his neck and he turned stories of hope and the Gates of Heaven, others of Hell and punishment. Both kinds meant to serve a reminder as to what await them after death. All of that seemed so far away. It was true that Mordecai knew what await him, and the Golden Gates called to him. But their call was distant, one that would go unanswered for many years. He was safe here, under the light of the cross.

The cross, hanging above and behind the pulpit, appeared to be glowing. Despite the implications of death it bore with it, he found comfort at the sight of it, as would any true man of God. Mordecai, however, was just a boy. Comfort, then, at the sight of crucifix only seemed natural. He'd been taken in by the Church, raised by Father Nathaniel since birth. He first appeared on the doorsteps one snowy evening in November, wrapped in swaddled clothes and the priest took it upon himself to see to it that the boy was raised in the ways of the righteous.

“Please, father, call to me so I can come to you,” Mordecai whimpered. Never before had he felt so unsettled with the faces of those long dead and retired to Heaven watching him with those judgmental eyes. He could feel them boring into his very soul.

There came no answer save for the howling of the winds outside, shaking the windows in their sills, and Mordecai in his boots.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters..

Mordecai moved closer to the altar, turning towards one of the doors, expecting at any moment, he would see the familiar warmth of a candle, and the robed figure of his Father would appear shortly thereafter.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake...

Mordecai opened the door, the howling was loud, almost unbearable now. He could hear the slamming of a door beating against the side of the church.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me...

The chill of the wind rushing through an open door greeted him rather than the warmth of Father's candle. It beat against his face, took his breath away. He wrapped his cloak closer to his body. “Father, I think a door is open...I will lock it.”

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over...

Mordecai's steps were slow; his breaths ragged. He wished he'd grabbed a light. The gas lamps would be difficult to ignite with this breeze. There was this feeling, deep in the pit of his stomach, that told him something terrible lay in wait for him.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever...

Finally, he got to the door and he grabbed hold of the handle to keep it from slamming into the wall. Turning to lead the door back to its hinges, he froze. The form of a man lay just outside the door, motionless. His throat leapt into his throat as he let go, running to the man's side. Mordecai turned him over.

What he saw then would haunt him for the rest of his life.

“You the kid that Nate was raising?” the man sitting across from Mordecai asked. After the events from the night prior, Mordecai was asked to stay at the police station, for both questioning and caretaking. The boy was an orphan, his caretaker murdered. Having no place left to go, they gave him right back to the Church. It was at a neighboring town's church that he now sat, hands folded obediently in his lap, eyes cast to the ground.

“Yes,” he said.

“You need a new place to stay,” the man returned simply. The boy was going to be simple, so he was too.

Again, the answer, “Yes.”

“You want to get revenge on the sunuvabitch that took him from ya?”

“Romans 12: 19 – Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written--”

“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.' Yeah, I know. But kid, there's a lot of people out there, just like Nate - ehm, I mean, Father Nathaniel – and more are going to die. You want to tell me you want to let them?” the man sighed, deciding to change his tactic. “Look kid, this God that we're all following? He is not the benevolent god you were taught to believe. He is apathetic. He chooses people to do his bidding for a reason. He will only repay your Father's death through an apostle. Lemme rephrase this. Do you wanna be an apostle of God? Prevent this from happening to any more of God's children?”

Mordecai was silent, again, eyes focused on the hardwood floor. The wind was silent now, and the tension began to build up in the room until finally he answered, “I do.”

Oh yes, please do steal my amazing and vast vocabulary and share it with an unsuspecting world. I'd prefer for my main character to be a lady, but i'll gladly make secondaries that arn't. Before making characters are all of them going to be new to each other or would you like to form already known friendships or what have you?

Uhmmm, honestly, I could go either way and in past rps it's been a fifty/fifty of characters already knowing each other. If we want to have our vampy x master already acquainted that can work well, unless we want to start out with them actually needing to sign a contract or whatever it is our characters are going to do. xD

I'd feel much better establishing a new relationship with vampy x master so we can just make shit up as we go lol. With everyone else, i'm okay with doing whatever, but i'm okay with making profiles now, is there anything specific other then.. Like.. Name, Age, Background/personality and appearance [[ Anime or irl pic? Idc either way tbh, but if we are going with a steam punk theme anime may be better.. ]]?

Honestly? I think that may be the best. I actually prefer anime/illustrated pics and I'm terribly sorry that I'm not skilled enough to make one myself. I think I have a good one for vampy too. x3 I'd be down to start with skellies, and if you want me to start, I think I can if you prefer! If not, I'd be down with you starting too. x3 I'll have a skellie up forthwith! I'm currently helping friendos in FFXIV, so I'm kinda boppin on and off based on their cutscenes.

Ah, glorious! So, I was wondering, do you think we should have normal vampire rules apply? Meaning: weakness to the sun (duh), weakness to iron (would make it interesting as your character works with bots!), a need to be invited in before entering, and a weakness to religious paraphernalia? Also, should Liam have vampiric abilities? In case of combat, I don't wanna make him too op but it is a thought!

Mmm.. Yeah he should have vampire-ish things for sure.. I don't think the sun should kill him or anything just make him as weak as a normal person. I agree with Iron and pretty much everything else. I think it would be supper funny to be like "PLEASE INVITE US INSIDE!" I support powers too, I trust you to balance it out.

not to butt in, but a favorite vampire weakness of mine is roses. like the garlic thing, except roses repel all sorts of dark creatures, supposedly. works into religious iconography very nicely because a lot of times, holy water will include an infusion of rosewater.

inability to cross moving water is one to consider but kind of annoying to play, i tend to substitute it with 'if they get soaked, they can freeze to death very easily because their metabolism means they don't warm themselves very well'
