Welcome to Trisphee, by the way! And, I've been posting in the forums, too, to try to earn some aurum for my avatar, so don't worry. We're both pretty much in the same boat.

Sometimes in the Games with the crane game, there will be short stacks of aurum, and you get three tokens a day to try to grab out a prize from there, so some of it's avatar stuff besides the little bit of aurum, and that's usually somewhere between 100 and 500 aurum. The prizes change every sixty minutes so you get several opportunities to try the game and as long as you don't actually click the play button, you can keep checking until something is in the machine you want to catch. And each token is worth three tries.

Post til your fingers fall off, but just make sure you aren't spamming to just get AU. Find some cool people or a thread with something you are passionate about.

it can be, yes. but that's not a universal experience.

the tea is our marketplace is less a cornucopia of items and more a yardsale, but asking if someone has what you want gets you farther than lurking threads and hoping it magically appears, putting the shy or only spontaneously active users at a disadvantage from the regularly active ones.

You can also barter for rarer items or take art commissions.

I mean…. make friends lots of people have items that they are willing to part with. We can and have showered newbies with extra items before.

Oh, also, when you post, you might randomly get an item, as well! A lot of background items can be acquired through posting. :3

I have no idea what you mean by that, but you can trade items in the item exchange up to 10 times a day.

I don't like the limit but it's practically the only way of getting older event items, unless you do commissions work for items or ask someone.
