One year for Chanukah, I used an old recipe (from my grandmother I think) for apple latkes and I did not check to see if I had any eggs that year, so instead of eggs, I used a mashed banana in the recipe.

They were good.

I don't celebrate Chanukah, but my grandmother was Jewish. She wasn't in my life for too long, though, she passed away when I was like three or four? Apparently she was my best friend though. She visited us every winter and stayed for months and months.

I was there when she was dying, I don't remember it well, though.. My mom said that when my grandmother was dying, she was telling the family that she felt I was her daughter and was telling everyone, "take care of my baby".

I wish I could say I miss her, but I can just barely remember her...

We've been having so much familial drama from both sides of my family these days...

If nothing else, at least I understand now how important friends are. They are the "family" you have control over, the family you can choose. And half the time, they're so much better than actual blood family anyway!

I'm so sorry I've been really absent lately..
Not just here, but all over the internet. :(

I've been getting forgetful with my medication,
I don't know what exactly is really going on, but there's been so much drama and I guess it might be having a negative impact on my mental health.

I do care about my friends,
And it makes me feel bad sometimes because I tend to hide my situation or make it seem like it's not a big deal because I have lost so many friends when it comes to serious stuff...

I'd rather my friends online remember me as someone who is fun and cool to talk to.

It's important to make sure you're feeling alright and to be sure to get the right help and the right medicine you need to feel better.

<:] I've been kinda off Trisphee and the internet for a bit too, but I come on if I feel like I want to. I'm trying to keep myself fed and hydrated and getting vitamin D, and breathing better. <:/ Also prevent myself from getting sick.

I know what it's like to worry too much about others and friends especially. <:c And feel like you've let them down by simply not being there to chat with them. But don't feel too bad about losing friends that way. <:] Serious stuff is usually always uncomfortable, but sometimes friends can help out and comfort in any way they can.

Honestly, I too would rather be remembered like that.. <.<; since I'd always skip my feelings and my hurt and get straight to the funny memes and nonsense I'd rather focus on. But feelings and pain are important to heal. <:] Take your time.
