Might be looking up apartment rentals halfway across the state because I heard about a job that I never realized was potentially one of dream jobs until now...

Having done a bit of research, it seems like the job may or may not be a year-round position, it looks a lot like it's just a June-September summer job, but tbh, would still be amazing (it's a dinosaur museum! 8D). And is actually not that far from me, as I discovered while trying to find rental properties there. I was confused as to why it kept just bringing up places in the city I live in until I checked a map. I legit thought it was farther away than it is, but is only about a hour's drive. (So if I were to go for it, I'd either have to move closer, if I can hunt down anything even, or face a 2 hour round-trip commute per day.)
Unfortunately, I do not have, and cannot afford a car just yet, which is problematic. But like I said, it's more of a "research for long-term plans" rather than an immediate thing.

Lol. Thanks everyone! It's definitely more a part of my 5-10 year plan more than my 2021 plan, but it's for sure going in there. >.>
I also found a little rent-to-own property (a small 2 bed, 1 bath house) about 20-30 minutes drive closer than where I live currently (and potentially for slightly cheaper or close to the same amount), but again, still needing a car. Which I can afford if I get most or all of my credit cards paid down. But that's gonna be about 3 years out, minimum. Maybe faster if I ever get Etsy up and running, though I might potentially have another custom glove order soon, which will help some and once the blister on my finger heals, I can haul ass and get the custom cats done and sent out, which will be about $75 that I can put toward bills. Ngl, even though it's late game, mask making is beginning to get tempting because I could probably still make decent money at it to pay my bills down faster >.> Tldr; While the job would probably be AMAZING, it's a few years out of reach at the moment, but would still be an incredible opportunity that I am putting into my 5-year plan and, with luck (and sticking to a budget instead of splurging on non-essentials constantly), will achieve sooner.

oh i get paying down credit cards.... we'll be adding another expense today - my daughter's car needs about $700 worth of work on it again. it was a trouble-maker car from the beginning. *sigh*

Youch. And people wonder why I don't have a car yet... >.>
Lol. But in reality, I've found a lot of semi-new (2014-2019) cars while browsing carfax that I could, in theory, afford once the cards get paid off. Assuming they're in good condition and don't need a lot of work right away anyway.

yep.
so we live in Pennsylvania, and annually there's an emissions and safety inspection the car has to pass. there's no such safety inspection in New Jersey, which is where we bought the car - a 2006 VW Bug that apparently was in a car accident that wasn't reported on the carfax. ugh.

Ah that's gotta be an annoying mess to have to deal with.
I don't think we have that inspection here either, but I'm not sure.

I found a little clown. For my mom. ;-; Other than that, my antique store trip was a bust...I couldn't find ANYthing authentically Italian or italian-looking kitchen stuff for my dad. ;_; Went home. Feel like a sad worm. I don't know where else to look.
