Converting music files | #1
♥ Ok so I recently got a Nook and I'm wanting to put some music on it.
I ripped cds to my computer but when I put them on my Nook they wouldn't play. I researched and found out that this is because the Nook will only play mp3 files. My music is all on Windows Media Audio files. So I researched about how to convert those files to mp3 files and it looks like I need some sort of converter. Thing is, I'm scared to download a random converter I find on some random website. So basically I'm asking if anyone here knows about a safe converter I can use to switch my files. Also some tips on how to do this properly. Please and thank you. ^^;;

♥ Ok thank you very much! ^^
Oh wait... so does that convert music files to mp3 as well? Just wondering since it says it's a video converter. EDIT :: Ok I installed it and tried everything I could think of to get my music files converted and it wouldn't work. Don't know why. Uninstalled it. I still need help with this. Suggest a good music converter and help me to know how to actually convert my files?

VLC is pretty straightforward. It's primarily a music player but it can convert anything it can play.

As said, Zamzar can copy music from Youtube.
It's sort of irrelevant but if you want to take music off of Youtube I know a site that works in seconds rather than minutes to hours like Zamzar does, and it isn't an add-on so you don't need a certain browser for it. It also has betetr quality than Zamzar and instantly converts all videos into MP3 files. video2mp3.net Just if you ever decide to strip msuic from Youtube. =3 Je suis prisonière de moi-même, mais jamais de toi.
