As Samuel stood he ignored his protesting legs. They hurt like a bitch but he was not going to let that slow him down from getting to his goal. He attempted to distract himself from the pain by making small talk. "So how much longer 'till my government says okay or you kill me?"

he did not care to specify though the answer was the same for both questions "two days"

Then Samuel sighed agrivated, "Two Earth days or two Mars days?" There was a difference. And he did kinda want to know when he was going to die, his government would gladly give up his life for the sake of mining Mars.

he shrugged feeling a bit vindictive "i did not ask"

And that cause Samuel to blink as he opened the door. "You did not think to ask when I should be killed?" That wounded his non existant pride. "Huh, never though I spoke the truth when I said my life had no meaning." Samuel was smiling, he had meant that not that he really wanted Leslie to know.

"i did not ask after my own and i hold it in higher regards than yours" the other's facade was poorly crafted if that was the best he could offer

Samuel gave a chuckle, "No one asks for their death date," besides himself, "Because they rather believe they have forever to live." He had seen it in truth, others who had been at death's door looking away because they thought themself invincible. "An executionor's sate is different though, you have to know when to dispose of all the insufficiante and useless people."

"and for all my repeating you still don't seem to understand" he spoke nothing else as they headed for the bathroom.

Samuel shrugged, "What can I say, I'm a stupid person, your words just won't stick." His grin took a turn for real. "In one ear and out the other."

when they made it to the bathroom he took up his stand at the door

Samuel was silent as he went to the bathroom and continued to be silent intil he was washing his hands. The sudden interaction of hot water with recently scabbed wounds made him curse. The water turned a light pink as some blood leaked from the wounds, and he refused to think that the pain was actually a comfort and pleasure.

the man reached for the soap dispenser and he took a quick step over and grabbed his wrist "don't"

Samuel snatched his arm away from the other and demanded, "Why not?"

"your wounds are deep and and rough, i cannot clean out soap with my limited knowledge, should you have any remain. it would be best if you were careful not to get any in there lest you damage yourself in a way that jeopardizes your hands" he looked at his hand, it was wet and pink, he grimaced and rubbed it down his pants-leg.

Samuel really did not get that, the other would have to kill him soon so why take care of him now. All he said however was, "Fine." And did not put soap on his hands but walked out the door.
