I loved it, and I usually hate 3D movies. the 3D in it wasn't overbearing at all, and some scenes were entirely 2D. it didn't hurt my head and make me dizzy like most 3D does, which was awesome.
I also love the original TRON **points at TRON-inspired suit I designed for the first item design contest** so I went into the movie with a bit of a bias, but lots of hope and expectation.

my friends and I had a "nerd-party" a couple years ago where we had laser tag wars in the park, listened to techno, and watched TRON. by the time we actually got to the movie, we were all excited and a bit crazy and had probably eaten too much sugar. there were some parts we couldn't hear because we were laughing so hard, and so for years we've called the big security gates "The Stevens" because that's what it sounded like they called them in the movie. to this day I still don't know what they're actually called. XD
the original is kinda cheesy in its own 80's way, which makes it amazing. and there's more of Tron in the original. the new one is shiny and pretty, but I think you need to rent the old one and watch it tonight, RIGHT NOW, and then go see the new one. :3

yes Illusion, it was amazing in IMAX! I know what you mean by all the seats vibrating now, the score was intense. Daft Punk did not disappoint. then again, I already knew that because I have the soundtrack. XD but it was even more amazing in super-epic surround sound.

lol. Don't have Netflix and all the Blockbusters nearby went out of business T.T But maybe I'll catch it playing on TV since the new one is out. Yeah the commercials definitely looked shiny and pretty! I like glowy things so that's good. *grin* Hopefully I can convince the fam to go see it!

Get Netflix! D:< my parents got it recently so they could download movies onto the Wii and the BluRay player. our nearby Blockbuster hasn't gone out of business yet, but I'm sure it's struggling. all the Hollywood Videos have definitely died, though. :C
