Let's see, last time I went to a non-school library, I was in fifth grade
So that would've been the 2005-2006 school year It's been a while for me too

I'm beginning to think I am in the minority because I go to the library pretty much weekly, if not more often. I also have the library's app on my phone so I can borrow e-books too.

You'll always feel it, but can never see it. It's strong but shatters easily. You can give it away but never hold it. What is it? Pm me the answer, no cheating please!

I don't even get to read as much as I used to, I sometimes just go to the library because their internet is about three times faster than mine even on a good day.

I feel that, it is a little over half an hour for me too, but luckily it's only another like 10 miles past where I work so not super out of my way.

right now, it's too cold outside for me to walk there during the day, and I can't find my backpack/laptop bag so checking books out is a no-go for the moment. at least until somewhere between the 21st and 28th. a friend of mine got me a cart for groceries, and I plan on using it to also check out books.

I'd get a page job if i could but the stupid things are limited to people registered in academic programs so I'm out. I'm actually part of the local library Friend's charity and we do fundraisers and such to support the library's budget. I have to go to the library in the next couple of days to return some books.

My local library is in walking distance and I go there often. It's basically my second home (though recently they got rid of the comfy seating bags I enjoyed to curl up in with a comic book). Probably returning two nonfiction books today.

Today is grocery day for me. might swing by the library after. might not. depends on how I feel after groceries and therapy.

The closest branch of my library is 30 minutes away, but then, everything is, so consider that to be close.
I'm hoping to find library work but I need to be somewhat picky about it. That book return I was griping about is a serious thing, and I'm pretty sure it's at least partly responsible for the crippling back pain I had for a while. They were large canvas bins that required people to bend at the waist and lifting from the bottom was nasty. The other branch in the city has weight controlled bins that actually lower or lift as the book weight is adjusted to minimize reaching in. The other library needs those badly. Things I would do if I had stupid amounts of money.

It's funny my sister brought up libraries cause she was gonna visit one with a friend so we talked about how we were raised on our local library.
And now I miss going. =w= ty bluebird for the art! :D

I like the system here where you can check out books from your library, but the selection is a shared network between several other libraries in the area. Even if they don't have what you are looking for, the interlibrary loan is a good service to use for harder to find things.
