A lot of the books vary wildly. He had a few flops, and the last five or so books really suffer due to the illnesses he was experiencing. Which ones did you read?

yeah... i read the first few, from the beginning. without looking, i read the first 6 or so books.

Aw man. It can be hard to get in to, he doesn't really hit his full stride until Mort, but if it wasn't for you, well...that's okay. Although if you can stand to give it another chance, I suggest reading Small Gods.

I once read it in twenty-four hours. Favorite Discworld book.

as you can see by my signaure, i'm making my way through the Legacy of the Force Star Wars series....but maybe i'll give it a try. it feels like i've been reading 25 gazillion Star Wars books these days!
