You probably also missed the time they had an 18+ site. It was poorly done, had straight up illegal things posted by members with zero repercussions, and was overall terrible
It lasted six months before they shut it all down, and by then, except for those posting illegal things, most had forgotten it existed

Take the base of Pantheon's avis, make it about 50% narrower, and then massively up the pixellation. Yick
