This is super off topic so I apologize. I want to be a 50's housewife. Without the beating. >_> Well maybe sometimes.

I own all 7 Saw movies. haha Does that answer your question?
Well, I though 1-3 were great, 4 & 5 were a little of a let down but 6 made up for it, and 7 brought everything to a close. And I called Dr. Gordon coming back by movie 3. xD BUYING ART! PM ME.

I have a friend who has a 1950s household. :3 It's really not so bad. My husband and I would probably have one if I didn't want to work. > w < (Even though...I'm pretty much a 50s housewife currently. Damn you pregnancy! </shakes fist>)

Bloo: That's so cool.. I never thought of that as an option. I do know that if I get married I want a 50's style wedding. xD

Ohhhh, a 50s style wedding would be gorgeous! I love 50s fashion and art... Just to die for~ XD I could never be a true 1950s housewife simply because I don't have an entirely subservient personality. I'm what my husband calls a brat. XD

I would never want to be in the 50s because then I wouldn't be able to come out of the closet. D8

LOLOLOL. I just read something from Housekeeping Monthly (written in 1955). It's a guide to being a good housewife. The very, very last thing on the list is, "A good wife always knows her place."
We're not saying we want to be in the 50s, but rather what being a 1950s housewife in the modern era would be like.

If someone was a 1950s housewife in the modern era... she wouldn't survive. xD

There are a great deal of people who live the 1950s household in this age.

I honestly don't know how they could stand it. I love leaving the house and doing my own thing with friends way too much to be kept home cleaning, cooking, and taking care of the kids.

It's their choice; something that they prefer. It's not like they have no free will. I have a good friend who (although not a wife) leads a 1950s household with her boyfriend. It's something that fits them, and that they enjoy.
For many people, the 1950s household is a fetish or an ideal lifestyle that works well with other things that occur in their life (such as their relationship dynamics). Unlike in the real 50s, the wife in the modern 1950s household can put their foot down and say when they're done and tired of living the lifestyle.
