Ninety seven! Ninety seven! Ninety seven! Not sure why but that sounds like it would be fun to yell.

It reminds me of Through The Looking Glass for some reason... like right before the last party? The yelled song about putting mice in the tea? There was some yelled multiplication, although maybe it was ninety-nine and not ninety-seven that was part of it. I love the Alice books. By the way, I joined This is Halloween! My username there is agrestal. I think I have around 5 pets already.

Read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland but not Through the Looking Glass. I'm thinking of the flood and the Caucus Race now.

@trystan: Well, there's still enough time to acquire one. May I suggest home depot and a power saw? A really big power saw.

After reading the originals I can't bring myself to like any adaptations... just way too much is left out. though twisted/reworked stuff is a whole 'nother story :D

I read both the originals too, but I also consider it interesting how exactly other people chose to adapt a story. It always tells a lot about society. Think vampires for example. They started out as creepy, ugly monsters, then became the sophisticated yet ruthless aristocrats, and later were watered down in cheesy romance novels.

I have to admit however usually I like books a lot more than their movie adaptions.
