My god I just pissed myself off by
helping my 12 yr old son trying to
download Runes of Magic to play !_!
He gets easily frustrated and wouldn't
follow my directions on how to download
it. But after a few mins he finally
got it. Now it's downloading the program.

I like the free MMOs. I can play them
and just never have to pay for things.
You don't get as much but you do get
alot in the free version.

That MMo is... well, it has bad reputation. :/
Not player wise, but what it actually leaves on your computer. ;>.>
For a kid of that age, I would suggest... Eden Eternal, maybe?

Well, there are words going it leaves a spyware.
Smart enough for even most virus catchers not notice, especially as you let the game go trough your firewall to be playable in general.

Well, I think lucent heart, eden eternal are good MMOs he might enjoy. A slightly childisher images, but not bad at all.
There is always Prius online... Or Forsaken and Perfect worlds.
